Dennis Gedling is an energetic and enterprising chap and here he brings a couple of events to our attention:
1. First off the WA Sports History Forum will having their next meeting this Thursday (May 28) with Dr Rob Hess from Victoria University doing a talk on match fixing in Aussie Rules from 1897 to 1945. It’s at ‘The Game’ Sports Bar (The old Aberdeen Hotel) in Northbridge from 7.30pm.
2. The Perth Cats pre-game function will also be on this Sunday (May 31) before their clash with the Eagles at Subi. It starts at OP’s Tavern in Osborne Park at 11.30am with Brian Cook and ‘Bluey’ McGrath in attendance. Being the indigenous round there will also be a special chat with author and activist Steve Hawke about his book on Polly Farmer. There is also a bus to the ground for $10. Tickets are $45 (which includes a meal) with more details available by phoning Peter on 0416 130 651
Very likely the Vic pre- and post-game.

Be there for history!
Cheers
All this, and a man on a camel just came to my door and handed me my Footy Almanac mugs! I’m as giddy as a schoolgirl!!!!
Jeez Dave Warner’s gigs are like London buses aren’t they. None for a long time and then a few in quick succession.
Speaking of that era in WA music on that same day the Holy Rollers are doing a one off reunion show at the SOTA festival in the CBD.

After this Greg from the band may come back and appear behind the bar at the Central Crocs again.
