Round 17 – Haiku Bob: pull of the moon

early deficit
an ache
I had forgotten

dusk seeps through
the stadium roof…
forward line lacking spark

night mist . . .
the full forward and full back
taking deep breaths

one then another . . .
the stadium fills
with Daicos goals

no wind the night shaped by Daicos

pull of the moon
we edge our way
in front

morning after
a magpie calling it
like it is
