
early deficit
an ache
I had forgotten
dusk seeps through
the stadium roof…
forward line lacking spark
night mist . . .
the full forward and full back
taking deep breaths
one then another . . .
the stadium fills
with Daicos goals
no wind the night shaped by Daicos
pull of the moon
we edge our way
in front
morning after
a magpie calling it
like it is
