Going to NZ to play the Warriors is always…well… a worry!
The boys is blue and white had nothing to worry about though. They had the match under control from the opening whistle.
Good tries by Barba, Turner and Wright got the Dogs barking. Not even a resounding onslaught from the Warriors could muzzle them. They were terriors today.
Workman like in defence and scouting for tries, and with purpose is probably the best way to describe the Dogs’ attitude.
They dropped off their intensity in the second half which made for consecutive sets of six from the Warriors, but the Dogs hung in there. Again- their defence was first class.
The Warriors continued their penetration of the dogs line. They manouvred, penetrated, and generally blasted their way in attack. They threw everything at the Dogs. But the mood they Dogs were in today, not event the proverbial kitchen sink could stop them.
C’mon Dogs, they’ve all written you off at the start of the season. It’s only round 3. We still have a way to go yet…but hey isn’t the underdog tag the way we like it? When you’re going the way you are, not even travelling to the land of the long white cloud- arguably the biggest test of the season, can cause one to…well…worry.
