My Hope not being defeated by KB

While getting warm and having coffee at a Starbucks café after having explorded Arashiyama, a suburb of Kyoto where is a famous tourist attraction on Wednesday afternoon, I became furious rather than surprised or shocked.

Former VFL player and radio personality Kevin Barlett says that GWS will win the flag before struggling Melbourne clubs, the Western Bulldogs, St Kilda and Melbourne Demons.

I was so annoyed because what I want is St Kilda win the flag in the near future.

We can keep strong feelings inside. We could slam his comment and swear at him, but instead should transfer to motivation and high sprits so that we win the second flag.

Later, I realised that we played Grand Final in 2009 and 2010. KB’s old club, Richmond has not played in a Grand Final for years. [34 years to be exact Yoshi. – Ed]

We can answer his negative comment in the way like Geelong was strong towards infamous Kennett Curse. St Kilda will defeat Richmond when it matters. Also my strong feelings towards Tigers will help us win games against them, I strongly hope.

Melbourne Demons won over Richmond last year. I hope Paul Roos shows enthuastism so that they win over Tigers.

The Western Bulldogs can use their high motivation when they won over Collingwood last year. I hope Doggies win over Tigers as well as against Collingwood.

St Kilda has got young talented players through drafts. We are on the way to improve and to be competitive. Road signs to the ‘G say “Next Flag for the Saints in three years.”

I wish I could see how Grant Thomas hit back towards KB. Thomo should be back to SEN so that I could listen to the radio between 9 am and midday on weekdays.

I have no time to get angry with KB. Instead I work and enjoy the footy when I have time.

Go the Saints!

About Yoshihiro Imagawa

Just hope we will win the second flag soon, especially after Dogs and Tigers having ended long premiership draughts. 2. The Osaka Dingoes Player and Public Relations Officer: Player number 44 that I chose to honour Stephen Milne with my wish being like a small forward like him. Lenny Hayes' hardworking attitudes are adopted on my trainings and practices. Nick Riewoldt's great plays are in my player audiobook too. 3. Good to hear your passion for the Saints once again Yoshi.
The Bulldogs and the Saints seemed to be linked more and more these days. The one-premiership Clubs, getting close with a number of preliminary final appearances with a core of quality players who missed out on a grand-final. I wrote about their similarities in the related story listed above called ‘ Graduating with Honours ‘ .
The AfL usually nominate the two teams for ‘ Rivalry Round ‘
As far as a response to KB, i wouldn’t worry too much. I think he’s just reflecting on the influence of those expansion teams and the way they were virtually given the best young players in Australia over two or three years to start them off. KB himself was a Footscray supporter when he was a kid and like me must be wondering how teams like the Bulldogs and Saints will ever get that elusive next premiership.
This year for the first time I am particularly looking forward to seeing the new recruits play alongside the second and third-year players to start a new regime at the Kennel. I am no longer worrying about ladder positions.
I am about to watch the five new recruits play today against Melbourne in Ballarat. The Club is hoping to play AFL matches there in 2017 and rid themselves of the Docklands lease.
StKilda’s struggle to find a permanent home at the moment seems to be your biggest problem rather than what KB was talking about.

  2. G’day Neil,

Thanks so much for your comment and compliment on my passion of supporting St Kilda.

We both won only one flag each, but I do not feel yoyr beloved Bulldogs are our rivals. I am sure Collingwood are our rivals. And I feel Fremantle are our rivals and understand that Geelong have been our rivals.

Both the Western Bulldogs and St Kilda have small number of supporters comparing big Victorian clubs and some interstate clubs including Fremantle, Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide. But I believe both Doggie and Saint fans have strong passiona and great communities. Loyalty and passion are important for the clubs, I believe.

Searching home ground would be hard. Being tenats at Docklands is tough for clubs with small numbers of members. AFL could spend more money on purchasing the stadium rather than establishing Gold Coast and GWS. Also can I suggest the league that they can earn more money if they have a Tasmanian club rather than the Suns or Giants?

I am surprised to hear that KB was a Footscray fan as a boy…

It’s sad to hear that your beloved Doggies were defeated by Dees yeaterday..,

    All the best

    Yoshi
