Haiku Bob: so little done

magnolias
already falling

another
bright start

quickly
dies off

as if the game depended on it another tackle missed

so
much
effort

to
get
so
little

done
Dawes

different time zone we play for a quarter

afternoon stillness
barely a heartbeat
around the stoppages

whether
I look
or not

Cloke
there

but
not
there

long spring afternoon
doubts begin to swell
with the buds

Comments

  1. Brothers go to Mothers, eh Haiku. I was waiting for the Henry Mancini backing.

  2. reckon ‘Peter Gunn’ would be more appropriate backing music for collingwood’s search for a functional forward line.

  3. ‘Laurel and Hardy’ theme?
