Haiku Bob – Round 8 – blindsided

the moon sits

on top of the grandstand –

weight of the defeat

after the game

the train fills with laughter

and silence

bare trees

all day sensing

this defeat

merging clouds

a kick into the forward line

cut off

goalless quarter –

the yellow footy lost

in the sunset

blindsided

by the onset of floodlights

two quick goals

through another hole

in the back six

the moon
