Haiku Bob – Round 5 – secretly hoping
beams of light
sunset lingers with
every goal
scattered leaves
all these goals
from unexpected places
my shout
players taking turns too
kicking goals
trees now more bare
Thomas threads one
from the pocket
goal from the boundary
instantly I’m taken back
to better times
ten goals clear
secretly hoping the neighbours hear us
having fun
morning after
a ten goal win my whisky
on the bedside table
