Haiku Bob – Round 4: belly flops and bintangs

Easter Sunday –
our full-forward continues
to be passed over

a set shot
from directly in front –
my Bintang sweats

another turnover –
last night’s Nasi Goreng
fighting back

chain of fumbled passes –
a long, lunging run
to the toilet

watching Collingwood –
my sunburnt face camouflages
embarrassment

in Bali
everything takes longer –
we finally kick a goal

Magpies go down –
a frangipani leaf belly flops
into the pool
