Haiku Bob – Round 15 – towers ablaze

This week, instead of the usual match report in haiku, I have submitted an alternative form of the Japanese arts, called haiga – an image accompanied by a haiku. The essential aesthetic of a haiga is that the poem and the image enhance each other, avoiding description or duplication.

I was at Metricon Stadium on the weekend, an attractively designed stadium, on a bright night with an almost full moon, where the Magpies stamped themselves as a serious contender.

I took this photo as I was leaving the stadium and wrote the haiku on the bus back to where we were staying.

Though you soared above my Eagles, this is lovely Bob. Love this style of poem and the picture is wonderful.
