Haiku Bob – Round 15: gap in the woods

gaps
in the woods
filled by kangaroos

dense fog
a perfectly weighted kick
floats out of bounds

winter stillness –
waiting for the forward line
to do something

staring into my beer
imagining the next
goal

waning moon
this game slipping
further away

heavy defeat
in the end my kid happy
we didn’t go

trying to think
where it all went wrong
my dog licks my head
