History was made on the weekend as Fitzroy claimed its first senior flag since Fitzroy and the Fitzroy Reds merged in 2008. Rod Oaten was there to watch the game unfold and celebrate with the Roys.

Fitzroy took a while to get going, but ultimately were far too good for Peninsula – King George III was on hand to document the game and picked his moment in the Reds Foundation political lunch with Barrie Cassidy and Ged Kearney.
