The FIDA footy season comes to a finale this Sunday 28 August, with four Grand Finals, all at Central Reserve, Glen Waverley.
Development League – 10am
Lower Plenty v Williamstown
Lower Plenty has bounced back from the terrible tragedy of its coach dying of a heart attack early in the season. Williamstown was the pace-setter early in the year, defeating Lower Plenty at home. The tables were turned more recently when Lower Plenty had a full squad of players.
Division 3 – 11:30am
Sandown v Parkside
Division 2 – 1pm
Wyndham v Mazenod Blue
Division 1 – 2:30pm
Williamstown v Chadstone
The Seagulls and the Synners have had a win against each other this season. Can the Seagulls running game prevail over the tall timber of Chadstone? Can Seagulls coach Rob Klemm, recently announced All-Australian FIDA coach after coaching Vic Metro to the national title, conjure some magic again, as he did in 2014 when the Seagulls won the FIDA flag with a huge final quarter.
FIDA is a league for footballers with an intellectual disability.
