Yvette Wroby was in a happy place with a successful launch of The Women’s Footy Almanac 2017. The game on Saturday night and the Saints close loss in the last few minutes was testing. Nick Riewoldt’s retirement added a whole new layer to the week.

It was a winning weekend in Hobart. Thanks to Mrs Smokie, North Melbourne, the travelling Almanackers, and Blundstone.
Round 19 – Collingwood v Adelaide: Fifty. 50. 50:50
Swish brought up fifty years in the footy watching caper on the weekend by treading the MCG turf pre-game. It turned out OK, eventually.
Cam Hooke’s Collingwood Life: The draw
Collingwood almost pulled off the upset against the Crows on Sunday but managed to draw against the ladder leaders. However, finals are now out of the question.

North Melbourne won their 17th straight game against Melbourne on Saturday afternoon. Marnie Cohen was over the moon with the Kangaroos performance and ability to answer the critics.
Round 19 – Hawthorn v Sydney: Bloody Hawthorn!
Hawthorn continued to their winning ways against Sydney much to the dismay of Jan Courtin. North Melbourne’s win over Melbourne was the sole pleasing aspect of the weekend for Jan.
Round 19 – Port Adelaide v St Kilda: Painful and getting upset
St Kilda fell just short against Port Adelaide and left Yoshi feeling sad and hurt. Extra shifts and pressure at work never help that negative feeling.
Round 19 – GWS v Fremantle: Many questions, a couple of answers
Mark O’Sullivan was left with many questions about the Giants after their win over Fremantle on the weekend. However, a win does ease off most of the pressure for another week.
Round 19 – Port Adelaide v St Kilda: Losing my gray matter – This was worse than a thumping
What looked a brilliant win was turned to dust my 60 seconds of remarkable Port Adelaide footy. Braham Dabscheck is still recovering.
