Away from the corporate commercialism, big money and the ‘game day experience’ there exists something called ‘grassroots footy’. It’s a place that’s all about the footy, the people, the club and the community. Last weekend, Glen Dwyer captured it all in this beautiful photograph from Henson Park in Sydney’s inner west. ‘Every picture tells a story, don’t it?’ *

  1. Now that is the real deal! You can just feel it, almost taste it. Listen to the banter and the barracking. Check out the little kids having a kick at half time. Catch up with your footy friends in a relaxed atmosphere and avoid the annoying, ultra-loud inanities of the big stadium ground announcers. Go local footy, regardless of the code!
