Almanac Junior Footy: Wilkins Girls kicking the Heeney out of Greene (originally published in the SMH)

Proud dad moment – this online Sydney Morning Herald story features the half-Tasmanian Tigerish Hart-clone Rosa Williams. It also features her awesome teammates. And their hard-working Coach Taylor figure, Adrian Kinslor, just one of dozens of great teachers at our local school (which had its Fair Day on Saturday, as it happens…)

There’s also a real nice segue to the growth among all populations in the Giants’ territory. Pity that didn’t make it to the print edition (the Marrickville Maulers did).

  1. Peter Warrington says

Rosa won her best and fairest for the Newtown Swans. Gracious winner. Great club and great bunch of girls. Some future champs in there.

The school team All girls death battalion won their last game for the season 47-1.

    Bring on next season…

  2. Peter Warrington says

Just found the guide for their visit to the Paul Kelly Cup finals in 2019, when Rosa captained them to a gallant 3rd in the State.

Not much actual footy going on…

    La Nina stinks!
