Almanac (Country) Cricket: The national carnival is under way in the Goulburn Valley

The national country cricket carnival is on in Shepparton and surrounds and photography Peter Argent is on the road from South Australia to cover it.

 

This match between Vic Country and SA Country was played at Mooroopna, home of the Cats.

 

 

Luke Wiese (from Mundulla) who took a wicket (on debut at age 31) with the very first ball of the day’s play.

    They’re the Cats in the Goulburn Valley FNL.

    Does my heart good in this stifling summer to see some portents of the mighty Cats.

    That’s the AFL Cats, of course, beloved by Harmsy and quite a few other Knackers.
