Always North.

  1. Great stuff smoke. Don’t read The Age so it blocks me but the draw of the home town is always strong.

    Great piece Smokester.

Many evocative images of old Willy. The one that resonated with me most was the ferry. On the rare occasions we’d come to Melbourne all the way from Winchelsea back in the 1960s, the ferry crossing was a quirky but much anticipated highlight for a young lad from the farm.

That’s a great love letter, Smokie. So many evocative images but I especially liked the idea of your dad doing a three-point turn on the pier!
