    I know a guy who played with Abdul that season with Carlton in the late 90s. He used to field at short leg when Qadir was bowling, so he watched all this magic at very close range. He watched as batsman after batsman was fooled by the wrong ‘un.

    It’s a shame how rarely Pakistan came out to Australi in the 80s. When they came out in 83/84, there was a lot of hype but Abdul did not have a good series. But they didn’t come out for a test series again until 89/90 by which time Abdul was gone.
