FEARLESS 2020 Round 15: As we enter the home straight…just before we enter for the bell lap.

BYES: Geelong/Glebe/Gnangara/Gaven Cats, Gold Coast/Gilead Suns, North Melbourne/Nerang Kangaroos, Port Adelaide/Palm Beach Power, St.Kilda/Sunshine Coast Saints, Western//Woodbine/Worongary Bulldogs

Adelaide Hub Game Number 13: Humbug Scrub Hawks host the Adelaide Crows at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday Night. In the search for a feelgood story, the round commenced with one, much to the chagrin of Clarko and his Hawks. Matthew Nicks’ Crows had endured a horror campaign. So, a win broke the ice and the champagne bottles at Westlakes. For the Hawks, where to now?  Crouchs x2 got plenty. Tex 2.

Queensland Hub Game Number 51: Eagle Heights Eagles hosted the Eagleby Bombers at Gabba on Tuesday Night. The Queensland Eagles are a different proposition to the WA Eagles. Especially when the Eagles missed full forward Kennedy. However, the Bombers were going to miss ball magnet McGrath and the Eagles defence weren’t about to let the Joe Daniher show happen. Eagles by 15pts, just a step above.

Queensland Hub Game Number 52: Red Hill Tigers host the FNQ Dockers at Metricon on Wednesday Night. An arm wrestle for 3 quarters led to a 27pt Tigers win. The last qtr saw the Tigers kick 4.4 to 1.1 and yet the Dockers had been tight and tough, restricting Richmond at every turn. Even the final margin of 56 to 29 was not reflective of the difference between the teams. However that is the getting of wisdom…

Queensland Hub Game Number 53: South Johnstone Swans hosted the Maroochydore Demons at Cazalys Stadium in Cairns on Thursday evening. The Demons supporters must be used to it. Just when the Demons look to be gaining credibility, they lose to a determined and yet inferior opposition. Call it drinking your own bathwater! The Dees looked off and the enthusiasm of the young Swans too much. Swans 21pts.

Queensland Hub Game Number 54: Gilston Giants v Cooroy Blues at Metricon on Thursday Night. The Blues could claim to be hard done by. A 5 minute four goal blitz at the start of the last qtr was enough to bring a solid night’s work unstuck. To that point, GWS had only 2.11 on the scoreboard. A 15pt 3 /4 time lead by the Blues evaporated as rookie Riccardi in his 3rd game sent the Giants on the road to a 9pt win.

Queensland Hub Game Number 55:  Brisbane Lions host the Currumbin Magpies at the Gabba on Friday Night. And if it wasn’t a finals preview, then I don’t know what is. The intensity was palpable. The scoring, finals-like. The pressure forced errors. When Mason Cox soccered through his 2nd, it was too little too late. The Lions 5 goal 2nd qtr enough to break the Magpie hoodoo of 6 years. Pendles 29, Crisp 30. Hipwood 2.
