  1. HARMSY: see if Samuel wants to regale guests with a yarn or 2 about his old Dad.
‘Nogger’ Newman was a legendary character at Corio, the GGS senior campus, and was my economics and geography teacher in what would now be called Year 10.
His favourite intro. to an errant lad who hadn’t done his homework and had thus come ill-prepared to a class the next day would start with:
“Eeeee, crikey boy, what have you been doing …… ! Eeee, crikey!”
My Dad and Nogger, both chalkies, were acquaintances rather than great mates as they served on different campuses.

  2. Thanks Richard. Looking forward to this. I’ve read a bit about Nogger over the years. He keeps bobbing up.
