The Ashes 2017/18 – First Test, The Gabba: Call For Writers

This is an invitation for writers of Test cricket; all styles, all ages; to submit their observations and thoughts on the Brisbane Test. All welcome.

Nominate any day or days in the comments below to assist in covering each day of the Gabba Test at the Footy Almanac. Surprise entries are always very welcome.

    I’m thinking the Australian attack looks very good, but the batting seems fragile.

    It’s, yet again, a David Warner gamble.

  5. I would nominate but I suspect that being there with half my cricket club from North Queensland, I won’t know the keyboard from the screen by stumps each day. If, however, a sense of restraint emerges I will submit something for the fourth or fifth day.

  6. I’d suggest looking to Hunter S. Thompson for inspiration and going gonzo, Pat. Could be far more amusing than your every day report.
