Round 21 Mega Post

The Crows Game:

Patching

Adelaide versus Essendon

7.25pm, Saturday 12 August

Etihad Stadium, Melbourne

Aidan Hammond

Early morning I play tennis and I am playing against St Peters tennis. everyone who plays in that team go to my school because my school is in St. Peters. But I am thankful that I am playing for ETKG because we win 6-1 6-2 6-0. I play okay. I do my jobs around the house then I watch the start of the Crows, I have dinner.

When we are versing Essendon, we start off well but Essendon get the lead back, we are still a bit cosi cosi but in the last bit of the quarter we do really well we are doing good and we get the lead out to more I see John Worsfold and he looks upset.

In the second quarter Essendon have a purple patch and the Crows are playing horribly, they are just letting them score to easily, Essendon get the lead out to 1 point. We get back to our good winning ways and then score goals. We win by 32.

It is about the same level of evenness in the 3rd quarter, we are still playing better than Essendon, we are playing well and are winning by around 30 points. In the last quarter we should be blowing out this game to 50 points, I think we can do it.

In the last quarter we play a bit better than Essendon we get the lead out to 40 points. I think that the Crows performance shows that we are not going to let any games slip. We are doing well, and we will get a top 2 spot, hello home finals.

The Port Game:

Impressive But Still a Hole

Port Adelaide versus Collingwood

4.10pm, Sunday 13 August,

Adelaide Oval,

Aidan Hammond

Port Adelaide are playing against Collingwood, the only team that they have beaten that are inside the top eight. If they win we can’t judge because Collingwood are not good, but is their ball movement going to be impressive and will they bounce back from the showdown, this game can’t fill the hole though.

In the first quarter Port start off pretty well, they kick inaccurately, but they are not the only ones who are kicking all wonky, collingwood kick 1 goal 3, which is surprising because in Adelaide it is a nice sunny day, Port dominate the play.

Collingwood have been playing well for the last bit of the season, Nathan Buckley would like the pies to win so that it might give him a better of staying coach. In the second quarter Port are not demanding the footy and playing a bad slow game with skill errors, they are not going forward, they are not scoring but kick a lot of goals in the last bit, but Port Adelaide play very well not letting them attack and then moving the ball well.

In the third quarter, at the start of the quarter, it stays the same. Port Adelaide are playing like the margin is going to be ten goals and the magpies are playing the same, but magpies find a way to turn it around make it look like they will beat them, at three quarter time the margin is 15.

In the last quarter it is weird, Collingwood keep threatening but Port hold strong, I would be blowing up if I was a fan, luckily I go for Crows and they won by 40, in the end Port add 5 points to the margin, a game with weird skill errors, but it is good relaxing after my junior game.

PORT ADELAIDE     2.4   7.8   10.11  14.14 (98)

The Walkerville Game:

Good and Bad Flashbacks

Walkerville versus Pooraka

12:00pm, Sunday 13 August

Lindblom Park, Adelaide,

Aidan Hammond

We are playing away, against Pooraka they are not a good team, 2nd to last, we need to beat them by more than 75 points, how much we beat them by. It is really hot, opposite from the hail of last week.  I start of in defensive midfielder. I am doing pretty well around the contest with a lot of clearances, I am getting lots of the ball. They score a quick goal and a point, for the rest of the quarter, we have most control of the game.

Our coach is talking to us about our quarter, he is not happy. He is saying that this is the worst that we have ever played. In the second quarter we start off with the play but can’t kick a goal, I am moved to attacking midfielder. Then I do a huge kick and the wind keeps blowing it forward, I kick it from inside the centre square and one of my teammates run onto it and kicks a goal. Then next centre bounce our ruckman taps it to Sam, Sam passes to me I boot it in the forwardline, we kick a goal.

In the third quarter I am still attacking midfield and we are kicking against the wind, we are sown by 1 point. We start off well and have all of the play in our half for 80% of the quarter, we only manage to score 1 goal one, then they get a goal given to them by the bad umpire and snatch a goal, the scores are level.

I’m having bad flashbacks of when we were tying with broadview last year and then lost by 7 goals, can we use those flashbacks to our advantage and do that, that will make them good flashbacks. In the last quarter, from the get go we dominated, we win by 31 points, we almost get every centre clearances. We could just bomb it in their and we would get to run onto it with lots of space. I win a McDonald’s chicken rap voucher, I rest for the remainder of the day.

My Brownlow Medal:

My Premiership Favourites:

This is a little thing that I used to do when I was younger to see who I would think would win the Premiership. Who I think will win the premiership will change throughout the season. I will do an update every time it changes. I know it is not a very good method and it is not reliable, but here goes.

The reigning premiers start off as favourites then whoever beats them are favourites then whoever beats them are favourites and so on. Western Bulldogs start off as favourites and they have only had one team beat them which is Fremantle and that was in Round 3. Fremantle lost against West Coast so that means that West Coast are favourites. West Coast lost to Essendon so that makes Essendon favourites. Essendon lost to Richmond so that means Richmond are favourites. Richmond lost to Sydney and Sydney lost to Hawthorn, Hawthorn lost to Richmond so Richmond are favourites. Richmond lost to Geelong so Geelong are favourites.

This is a more complicated version of it. So the reigning premiers are the favourites and whoever beats them are favourites. If the favourites have been beaten before the round that they got beaten on then the team with highest winning margin on them and so on.

Western Bulldogs start favourites, the only team that has beaten them are Fremantle, Fremantle have lost 2 games. One against Geelong by 42 and the other one against Port by 89. So Port are the favourites. They have lost 2 games, 1 against Crows by 17 and 1 against GWS by 31. Therefore GWS are the favourites. GWS have only lost 1 game and that was against the Crows. The Crows have lost 1 game and that was against North Melbourne North Melbourne have lost 5 games the most against West Coast by 43.

West Coast have lost 2 games, the most by 50 against Hawthorn. Hawthorn have lost 5 games, the most by 86 against Gold Coast and Geelong. Gold Coast have lost 4 and Geelong have lost 2. Geelong have lost 2 games, the most against Collingwood by 29. Collingwood have lost 5 games, the most by 29 against Geelong.  Geelong have lost 2 games, the most against Collingwood by 29, we have already been down that path and it would go on a endless loop so the other team they lost to is Gold Coast.

Gold Coast have lost by 4 games the most by 102 against GWS. GWS have 2 games, the most by the Crows by 56, we have already been down that path so it will be on an endless loop so the other game they have lost was against St Kilda by 23. St Kilda have lost 3 games, the most by 38 against Geelong. Geelong have lost 3 games and 2 have been mentioned already, the other game was against Essendon.

Essendon have lost 4 games, the most by 65 against Crows. Crows have lost 2 games but we have already been down one of those paths, the one that we haven’t been down through was against Melbourne. Melbourne have lost 4 games, the most by 29 against Geelong. Geelong have lost 4 games and we have been down 3 of lose paths. The other one is against West Coast. West Coast have lost 5 games, we have already been down one of those paths. The most by 61 against Essendon. Essendon have lost 6 games, the most against the Crows but we have already been down that path so second is against Collingwood for 38. Collingwood have lost 7 games, the most by 29 against Carlton. Carlton have lost 7 games, the most by 90 against Port Adelaide.

Port Adelaide have lost 5 games, The most by 70 against Essendon. Essendon have lost 6 games. We have been down 2 paths so the 3rd the most losing margin is against Fremantle by 37. Fremantle have lost 6 games the most by Crows by 100. The Crows have lost 3 games the most by North Melbourne but we have already been down that path so the second highest margin is against Melbourne. Melbourne have lost 5 games the most by 29 against Geelong but we have already been down that path so the second highest margin is 14 against North Melbourne.

North Melbourne have lost 4 games, the most by 43 against West Coast but we have already been down that path, so the second most is by 42 against Sydney and GWS, the highest score out of them, was Sydney. Sydney have lost 6 games, the most by 42 against GWS. GWS have lost 3 games we have been down to of the paths so the only path left is against Carlton. Carlton have lost 7 games we have already been down 1 of the paths so the second highest margin is against Richmond. Richmond have lost 5  games the most by 76 against Adelaide.

Adelaide have lost 3 games we have been down 2 of those paths so the only path left is against Geelong. Geelong have lost 4 games and we have been down all of those paths except against West Coast. West Coast have lost 5 games we have been down 2 of those paths. The third most is against Richmond.

Richmond have lost 5 games, we have already been down one of those paths so the second highest path is against Sydney. Sydney have lost 6 games, we have already been down one of those paths so the second highest is against West Coast.

West Coast have lost 5 games and we have already been down 3 of those paths so the fourth highest margin is against GWS by 8. GWS have lost 4 games and we have been down 3 of those paths so the only path left is against Sydney. Sydney have lost 7 games, we have been down 2 of those paths so the 3rd highest margin is by 28 against Port.

Port have lost 6 games, we have been down 2 of those paths, the next match is against Adelaide by 17. Adelaide have lost 4 games, we have been down 3 of those paths and the only left is against Hawthorn. Hawthorn have lost 9 games, we have been down one of those paths so the second highest margin is against Geelong, Geelong have lost 45 games and he have been down all of those paths except 1 and that was against the Crows, the Crows have lost 4 games but we have been down all of these paths so Crows are the favourites.

If Crows and Geelong don’t lose anymore games from here they will stay favourite.
