  1. I reckon I could reach that Mount Bogong from here.

    Keep the photos coming .

I think it should be compulsory for all city slickers to attend at least one country football match during their lifetime.
The social fabric of two communities come alive during the battle of being the “bragging” town until they meet again.
Perhaps The Footy Almanac could pick a game for you and take you out of your comfort zone?

  4. The Mount Beauty Oval is one of the homes of Dederang Mount Beauty Bombers Football Club. They play in the Tallangatta and District Football League. Their other home is half-an-hour up the Kiewa Valley Highway in Dederang. They’re not doing too well at the moment, having most recently copped a 200-point hiding from Tallangatta. I’m afraid I haven’t been to a game yet, but the oval is in a very nice setting. The cricket club keep it immaculate over summer.

Glen, the racetrack in Dederang is worth a look. It runs up and down hill around a few gum trees with nice views across the Kiewa Valley. Race day is in early January.
