I am really quite devastated that I will not be able to attend this auspicious occasion. Given how much time and emotional energy I ended up investing in the Tigers during the Finals period (once the Saints were no longer in contention) it seems criminal that I won’t be there to share in all the wonderful post Premiership passion. Reality is I’m flying over to Perth that morning for a few days.

While it will be a huge night at the North Fitzroy Arms North I can assure you that I’ll certainly be toasting The Tigers Almanac 2017 in fine style down at Fremantle fishing boat harbour close by AC/DC frontman Bon Scott’s magnificent memorial statue playing T.N.T full pelt on my iPod!

‘Cause Tiges were T.N.T. … they were dynamite … T.N.T and they won the fight … T.N.T. … they were a power load … T.N.T. … watched me explode!

I’ll be there as well, John. It will be good to meet everyone.

  5. Can’t wait- our celebrations have been too quiet to date

  6. Can’t make it this year, well done to all writers, looking forward to getting my copy.

  7. Congratulations John and Mandy – the book is great. Terrific effort to pull it together so quickly.
Great to meet some of my fellow Tiger tragics last night. Let’s hope to be back there in 12 months time at the launch of The Tigers’ Almanac 2018: First Once Again!
