Haiku Bob: warmer nights

warmer nights
the full-forward’s
soft hands

no sun or moon off to a slow start

today
Cloke

marking
everything
anything

is
possible

night clouds
stars drift in and out
of the game

wondering
where the year has gone
Krakouer goals

buds on trees –
the space we can’t fill
on the fast break

time on
at the ‘G

the gulls
have
disappeared

Swan still
circling

  1. Haiku Bob – please help me.

The Paddle Pop moron in The Age today says all Hawthorn players are saints, selfless and superstars.

Whereas Swan and Wellingham are selfish and no good, Pendlebury is not great, Thomas is so-so, and Beams, Sidebottom, O’Brien, Shaw and Reid are all crap.

But I checked the ladder and we won one less game than the Saintly Selfless Superstars.

So, can you tell me which Collingwood players not on the Paddle Pop’s list dragged us to those reasonably lofty heights?

To test how seriously you take the opinion of the Paddle Pop moron, I give you this:
