haiku bob – the far corners

spreading butter

to the far corners of my toast

Swan everywhere

bright sun

Pendlebury’s smoothness

across every blade

the crowd

awakened

by Didak’s first

autumn gust

the midfield

changes direction

sun slips through clouds

Krakouer snaps one

over his shoulder

low sun

Swan jabs one

into the pocket

autumn clarity

thinking

the unthinkable

    HB,

In the second half of last season Peter Flynn “enjoyed” a moment he calls Cooktown clarity. It was the time he came to realise that Collingwood were going to win the premiership, if they were to play to their potential. I hope your Autumn clarity is similarly prescient and the unthinkable is not just pondered, but realised.

  2. HB,

the droning pathos has appeared to have been exorcised from your lines. They are now up beat and full of mirth.

Is this because you are favoured by the pickled herrings, Absolut and naked midnight sun dips in the mosquito ridden tepid fjords, or has something changes over here?

    HB,

Glad to see you’re still following the game closely – sadly, Metro Trains means I see far less of your work on my daily commute.

Hope all’s well with the family.

    Chris

i might be just numb from the cold. but way the pies are going at the moment is like being on anti-depressants.

    chris!

more poems coming out soon. not on the trains though. metro have a cunning idea to display them at one of the train stations, since that’s where most commuters spend their time nowadays!

    HB,

loving the fact that we have players who possess silky skills. So unCollingwood in our experiences. Hope this lasts. Krakouer 2 out of 2 in Haiku.
