spring sun
everyone looks up
a speccy!
minutes later
Howe’s leap still hanging
in the air
signs of spring –
a shot from outside his range
clears the pack
spring buds
the rookie scores
his first goal
three-quarter time
a seagull all alone
in the goal square
half-moon
the season ends
with a win
last game –
the veteran empties
his locker
