falling petals ~
another season gone
too soon
lingering winter ~
nothing that resembles
a goal
gloomy afternoon ~
another kick forward
gets us nowhere
sun breaks through ~
the playmaker
centers
creeping shadows ~
the back six
loses its nerve
a goal down in the last quarter I try not to watch
3 point loss ~
feeling the commentators
overdo the drama
last game defeat
how quickly the sun
sets
we miss the finals ~
enough grog in the house
to kill me
