new buds

a teammate

for every pass

 

 

 

first magnolias

young forwards

stand out

 

 

 

edge of night ~

in the blink of an eye

night shadows

the loose forward

swoops

 

 

 

flying for a mark

as if summoned

by the Gods

 

 

 

back on the winner’s list

everything old

  1. Bar the penultimate ‘stanza’ (is that the right word?), my haiku would be the inverse.

    Duelling opposite haikus. I’m sure it’s been done before.

    Strung together in a sequence.
    My dream is to have live haiku duelling broadcast on the big screen after each goal…I mean, in the ad breaks.
