Haiku Bob – Round 19 – not cut out

bright winter sun

everything, even our football team

looks good

comfortable lead

out of nowhere

chest pains

patchwork sky –

a few players on the team

not cut out for this

dwindling lead –

slowly coming back to me

my therapist’s number

win goes begging

how brittle they are –

winter trees

after the loss

my daughter asks me why

we barrack for Collingwood

still awake…

50 points in front

we were 50 points in front

Comments

  1. HB – I was wondering how you might handle this one. This was a bit like the “Eight bloody one” Monty Python skit.
