Haiku Bob – Round 10 – undeniable silence

win against the bottom team

the stadium half-full

and half-empty

first bounce –

seagulls skirt

the centre square

lull in the game –

empty seats where only the rain

speaks

cloud blunt sun –

one handball then another

until it’s gone

shot from right in front –

the undeniable silence

of a miss

sun pokes through

once in a while a kick

finds its target

sunbeams –

somehow from that angle

a goal

winter showers –

in patches the game

we came to see

  1. Melancholy old mate, but beautiful.

  2. haiku bob says

    onya, Dips.
I don’t think I was the only one who found it utterly underwhelming.
If you look at the demeanor of the two coaches in the post-match press conferences, Bucks looked like the losing coach.
