Josh Barnstable is a great friend of The Footy Almanac. He has been with us from very early on and has been a wonderful contributor as a writer and a commenter. We have watched him develop as a young man and as a writer, and we have always warmed to his enthusiasm, and enjoyed his words. He is making his way at school – this is his final year – and as a football reporter and broadcaster.
In what is the saddest tragedy, Josh’s older sister Hayley passed away two weeks ago in what is thought to have been a delayed complication following surgery.
Hayley and Josh were very close.
Josh, we are thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time.

Bereavement is always sad but much more so when one dies who is so young. All I can say is that though I have never met you I have come to appreciate your contributions to this forum. and so of course my thoughts go with you as a fellow traveler through life.

Josh, my deepest thoughts with you and your family on the death of your sister Hayley. There are few words for such raw grief, but hopefully the thoughts of the Almanac community can simply accompany you on your way.

Very deepest sympathies.
Like all in the Almanac community, we share the highs together but also feel the lows as a community.
I wish you and your family all the support you need in this difficult time
