The Sporting Tour – FRIENDS OF ST KILDA CEMETERY

 

Whether it be football, cricket or tennis, there is plenty of interest on this tour! Come along and hear about the lives of some truly fascinating residents of the cemetery  who loved and participated in sport of all kinds.  Some names you will know…others you will want to know about!

 

Cost $10 includes afternoon tea. Meet at main gates St Kilda Cemetery, Dandenong Road, East St Kilda at 2.00pm.

We go all weathers, rain, hail or shine so please wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring an umbrella and hat.

  1. What a great idea for a tour! If I can I’m there. A few years back I went on the Beatles tour while in Liverpool. One of the stops was to visit St Peter’s Church graveyard in Woolton and Eleanor Rigby’s grave. As it turns out Bob Paisley the Liverpool FC manager is also buried there. So many stories in a boneyard. Cheers
