Dinner with Yoshi (Oct 27) – all welcome.

The story of Yoshi Imagawa is classic Almanac. A chance meeting with Yvette Wroby has led to Yoshi writing regularly for our site. Yoshi has taken up the challenge to fulfil his dream to become a writer – in his second language, English. We say he is already a writer at the Almanac and his pieces, especially about his beloved saints, are always welcome, and well-read.

Yoshi is visiting Melbourne next week. He will be attending the Sports Writers Festival.

He is hoping to catch up with a few Almanac people. So we are having dinner at the North Fitzroy Arms on Friday, October 27, from 6.30pm. All welcome. If you would like to join in email me HERE.

Read Yoshi’s pieces HERE.

My drinking boots are on and ready to kick some goals. Not long now until we shall all meet the endearing Mr Imagawa! Bring it on!

  12. I’ve never met Yoshi, but I reckon he could comfortably handle himself with a beer in (each) hand.
I know young Jen Muirden enjoys a lemon squash or six, so this will be a good warm-up for her upcoming 25th birthday.
