DA Puzzle of the Round (13)

Discover the world of David Astle here.

But first, can you solve this week’s puzzle?

Right about now, this non-playing footballer will be feeling less than zero, a victim of his own actions. Which his name reflects, in a strange way. Because if you remove all the roman numerals, and all the compass points, from his first and last name, all that’s left is zero. Who is he?

DA Puzzle (12) solution: Nathan Buckley and Mark Neeld (buckle/knee)

    DA

I have used the abbreviated (and commonly used) rather than the full first name and got what I think is the answer – the letter remaining after all others are removed is the letter “O”. If I had used the full first name I would have also had an “A” left over.

    AF

First thought is Jason Akermanis – victim of his own actions – Aker/man/ is.

I have reached the same conclusion as AF.
If you also include his middle name, the letters remaining spell ARGO (Jason’s ship in Greek
    mythology.)

  4. Hey AF,
The lead singer of the Black Eyed Peas, by any chance?
I have now solved the puzzle two weeks running…gold star stuff!
