Crio’s Racing: Open all year

Racing, apparently to many people’s surprise, runs all year – it does, though, have times of greater prominence and this is not one of them!
I’ll be at Moonee Valley. For the sake of those with Punters’ clubs, here are some musings for Saturday’s Quaddy:-
MR5- 1
MR6- 1,7
MR7- 4,5
MR8- 5,11, 7 a blowout.
Elsewhere the most attractive meeting is probably the Caloundra Cup card on the Sunshine Coast. Journeyed observers recommend it as a cracking day, though possibly a hard sell on school holidays.
On Sunday the jumpers finally get another fling with two features at Warrnambool, but otherwise this is probably a weekend to sit on your hands.
Needless to say – if anyone can urge me otherwise then jump online and state your case.
Good luck!

  1. Crio,

You don’t seem your usual enthusiastic self. There’s still dozens of winners out there!
I notice you’re one out Mr O’Ceiran and it sort of looks over the line, particularly as it hasn’t got much penalty for it’s easy win last start but I keep thinking that Upbeat must have some hope. It’s won a group 2 or 3 as a 3YO and has some form at the Valley so at around 20’s may be a hope of an early blowout for the quaddie. I also thought thta Blackie had a hope in the 2nd leg on my first glance.

I’ll be attending Morphettville for the first time since Xmas Hcp day so hope to find a few winners there after a bit more study.

  2. You are right Jock – I just have not been able to get a good look at the form. Hopefully tomorrow- I do have a Best Bets and a Winning Post ready for perusal.
    I’ll be keen by Saturday.

  3. Jock, I have Constant Force as 2nd pick to the toppy in MR5

  4. Crio,

Yeah, I guess Constant Force is a hope, it’s got reasonable form but should really have beaten The Cleaner id it was to have had a hope here, toppy is probably a cert.
I have found a few (hopefully) in Adelaide. I like Alchemy’s Eight in the 3rd and Baron Duoro in the 7th. I have an interest in Hostable in the 6th, which is why I’m going but I would doubt it’s any hope , I’d be rapt if it can run on into the first half of the field at the finish. Normally I don’t like go forward horses at Morphettville but the rail is out 12 metres so it will be interesting how leaders go early on.

Looking at the footy, you’d think Sydney may be in doubt or at least get rated a heavy 20.

Another I like at The Valley is Hotham Heights in the last, currently $14 and looks overs compared to a few others as he has raced OK in much better class.

Crio, touch of genius in the last leg,had a small interest on your blowout in the last, duly saluted at the $46 Betfair. Thanks mate, owe you a beer.

  6. Glad you have come home with some coin.
    You now have several options.
The smartest one is to kiss your khyber at backing one of mine that won – and leave cash in your “kick”.
Next best is to whack the winnings in an account and, following the same “genius”, then turn it up in a couple of weeks when it runs dry as they all run down the track.
The third possibility is that, if you were vulnerable enough to follow my lead, I could devise a 1800punt line to milk those funds!!
    Well done mate.
