Clue of the Round: Round 8

DA’s Clue of the Round (8)

Logically, which current Demon is planning to visit Anzac Cove in the off-season, as well as the Venetian canals, then west to Nice on the Cote d’Azur. As part of the same jaunt the youngster will fly home via Sao Paolo, before partying in Kingston, Jamaica. Who’s the player, and why such a quirky itinerary?

Solution to DA’s Clue of the Round (8): The Demon you seek is Cale Morton. Why? Because if anyone desires to make a ‘biscuit’ tour of the world (savouring Anzac, Venetian, Nice, Sao and Kingston), then you should at least hold MONTE CARLO in your name.

  1. After many years of cryptic misery, we get to see DA in the sporting world.

Might run into you at Xavier too

I knew you’d love that Hap. DA: sportswriter and purveyor of word trickery. Would he float? Like a duck?

I don’t have a clue on this one. But it reminded me that I went and watched some school football on the weekend just gone – St Kevin’s v Hailebury out at Keysborough. Very good standard game. One of the better St Kevin’s players was Henry Parkes. Boy did he cover some territory, probably more territory than…. oh never mind.

  4. Ah, slight navigation error, folks. I’ll blame this Korean sat-nav.

Our mystery Demon would need to travel WEST to reach Nice, not that the alteration is critical to the tour’s theme. Any Almanacker in the loop yet?

    Fixed in the original. …Ed.

  6. Dan Crane says:

have you just revealed that Heritier O Brien is going to play for the Demons next year? (more seriously i wonder if he has a mate @ the demons)

    hmmmm –
