blushing leaves

scattered leaves —
none of our players
where they were named

closed roof —
a lull overhangs
our rustiness

one miss from close in
then two, then three…
— blushing leaves

wind-lashed trees —
goals from turnovers
pile up

Wellingham crumbs —
bodies swirl
in his wake

closed roof —
all eyes
on Daisy’s torp

a few empty seats
in the upper levels
— Krakouer’s leap

    What a highlight reel HB?

    Flynny

Got up at 5am to watch the first half on a live stream.
    Two lousy goals.
Then had to leave to catch a boat to Finland for the day.
    Missed the whole thing.
Couldn’t believe the result when we docked back in Stockholm 12 hours later.
Have been watching the highlights ever since.

  3. Moral of the story: When Haiku Bob goes to Finland, the Pies go bananas. Back to Helsinki next Sunday, thanks HB.

  4. haiku bob says

was a ripper boat trip moc.
    might do just that.
