A village helped Yvette Wroby get to the Saturday afternoon game. And the village of noisy Saints supporters helped the Saints get within a whisker of an upset to top of the table GWS.

Yvette Wroby has a different fan-girl experience when she meets cartoonist Judy Horacek at The 2018 Cartoon Exhibition. On at the Glen Eira City Council Gallery until April 22nd, it is well worth a look. Cartoonists from 1800’s, 1900’s and current day all on display.

Yvette Wroby welcomes her new drafted grand-daughter Emelia, who kindly doesn’t interfere with the women’s short AFLW season. Come Friday night, all are well and in their appropriate places, Emelia home with family and Nanna Yvette in front of the TV watching the footy. The world is good.

Yvette Wroby makes it a quaddy and watches all four games. Heartbroken at all the injuries, she is still amazed that these tough players give it a crack. Finding something positive in every game, she reports on the Western Bulldogs taking the win in 35 degree heat on Sunday afternoon. And being able to watch it live.

Yvette Wroby didn’t make it to the Kennel, but the super powerful Katie Brennan and her team of new and old stars did. It was a weekend of women writing their own stories.

A fine night was had by all at the opening of “You Kick Like a Girl” and Lyn Campbell-Anderson took the photos to prove it. Exhibition open until February 18th at Red Gallery, 157 St Georges Road Fitzroy North.
