Almanac Racing

Is this the lowest ebb of the season?

We can only pump up the Jockeys’ Premiership battle for so long – and there are a few meetings left. The mediocre NT Derby may be the main prize on Saturday.

Unless I’m offered work, I’ll be staying right away from the punt, preferring to monitor sites for trials and info as the real stars slowly re-emerge for upcoming riches.

Of course, I can be swayed by a hot tip.

Good luck!

  4. I did okay on the weekend, finishing in front.

Me having $ on Corowa horses did me good, though i didn’t take the Richard Freyer trained My Knight in the third @ Wodonga on Saturday. It saluted @ $91.00 !!!

My sole bet/collect on Sunday was the Geoff Duryea trained Marchello running in the 8 furlong race @ Narrandera. A good , honest horse it’s not been given much luck lately. In his last nine starts there’s been four 4ths !! He also finds himself allocated 63, 64 kilos, and even with a claiming jockey he still carries 60+ ! Here he ran a good second, paying $4-50 the place, so i got a nice collect. Hopefully a win is on the cards.

    Happy Punting,

    Glen!
