Comments

  1. OK you’ve got me here ER. What happened to the bloke with the beard?

  2. Malcolm Ashwood says

    Superb OBP

  3. “Big Bash seems to be the be-all and end-all. You can get picked to play for Australia in any format out of the Big Bash, really. It doesn’t make a lot of sense.” – Cameron White last season.

  4. “Cameron has had plenty of opportunities … he has had plenty of opportunities in the past and it’s probably fair to say performed okay without being earth shattering.” – Trevor Hons on Cameron White less than 12 months ago

  5. Peter Warrington says

Has anyone calculated Cam White’s average in his last 20 ODIs????

(As with paine, I am genuinely delighted for a guy who back in the 2000s I foresaw as a test captain. But what joke…)

Still think Maxwell needs to say he is relieved because he really wants to ensure he focusses on training smart for the tests in South Africa.

(I think they are all smoking the wacky stuff. Off their faces.)

  6. “Team balance” is a useful euphemism in these cases.

  7. And from Dan Brettig in cricinfo: http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/22037711/selectors-googlies-leave-many-stumped

“It is a combination of selection pragmatism and mysticism that has blindsided plenty in Australian cricket..”

  8. Luke Reynolds says

Brilliant ER. Though the lab coats make the selectors look far more scientific than their selections would suggest.
