Almanac Alumni: The students who have featured at the Almanac

With Deakin University and the Almanac joining forces to encourage student writing on all topics – but especially in the area of women’s sport and women’s footy – it’s timely to pay tribute to the many, many students who have written for us over the years.

Who are they?

And where are they now?

I’ll start with one: Josh Barnstable. Josh lobbed as an enthusiastic Grade 9 North fan from Waaia-Numurkah way. Josh did well at school, then completed a journalism degree and now has returned to the bush to be a reporter at the Kyabram Free Press. He’s flying. (Front page story today – Wednesday)

Who springs to mind?

Deakin University is a sponsor of The Footy Almanac 2016. Students are encouraged to write for www.footyalmanac.com.au throughout 2017.

Comments

  1. Danni Eid, now a graduate of Latrobe, was in about Grade 11 when we first started reading her classic teeny-bopper voice. Sooooooooo in love with Collingwood.

  2. I hope I will be nominated in this category in the near future after the graduation. But now I have many things to do to undertake a course from taking an English exam, decision making to apply for a course and a scholarship. Thanks for your help and advice :-)
