Sandover to Blackwell

Les Everett reports at the link below that ex-Blue Luke Blackwell, from Claremont, has taken this year’s Sandover Medal. Check the details and your thoughts. It’s worth noting that last year’s winner, Andrew Krakouer, is having a stellar season with reigning premiers Collingwood.

Luke is not yet 25 years-old. Could his AFL career also be resurrected?

  1. What do you reckon, Les? Could Blackwell do a “Krakouer” as well?

  2. Seems he doesn’t really want to.

In his acceptance speech last night he said he liked playing with his mates and “going out on the sauce on Saturday night.”

And he probably kicks too well to be part of the GWS midfield.

Horsley and Lee are prospects i reckon.
